3-Time Olympian
2-time World Champion in the Decathlon
Co-Founder, Lane 5 CrossFit

One of the most decorated decathletes in American history. Tom competed on three U.S. Olympic teams, won two World Championship titles, and earned seven National titles. He was inducted into the Track & Field Hall of Fame at age 28 and received the Jesse Owens Award and an ESPY for Male Track Athlete of the Year. He was named Oregon Professional Athlete of the Year and has coached at the Division I level and trained at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Tom’s athletic career began at Lane Community College, the same community where he built Lane 5 CrossFit. He brings the same discipline, programming knowledge, and competitive drive that shaped his Olympic career into every class he coaches. His belief: the principles that build world-class athletes can build a stronger, more capable version of anyone.
